Girls/Boyz First Mentoring and Everybody Wins! Vermont came together to pool our talents and resources to do good at the Do Good Fest, held at National Life in Montpelier this past weekend.
We stayed busy helping dozens of kids and older youth customize their own origami bookmarks and pick a free book to take home. Such a fun way to get the word out about our mentoring programs in central Vermont!
Girls/Boyz First Mentoring is a community-based mentoring program that matches youth aged 8-18 with adult volunteers to meet for 1-2 hours each week to do free or low-cost activities such as walking, baking, playing games, and visiting museums. For more info visit our website: www.girlsboysfirst.org
Everybody Wins! is a school-based mentoring program that matches elementary-aged youth with adult volunteers, one-on-one to meet for 1 hours each week during the school year to read books, play games and enjoy language and literature. For more info, visit: www.everybodywinsvermont.org
In both programs, mentees often see improved confidence, increased interest and success in school, and improved relationships with family and peers.
Join the fun, feel the reward of giving back to the community, and become a mentor today!
